Description:
Our two and four week diagnostic radiology medical student rotations are focused on teaching essential general radiologic principles, appropriate application and utilization of diagnostic imaging, formulation of basic differential diagnoses for common radiologic findings, and the importance of utilizing evidence based medicine in the application of diagnostic imaging.
Students will be expected to rotate with radiology residents working in interventional radiology, neuroradiology, chest/ body imaging, ultrasound & nuclear medicine, and musculoskeletal imaging.
When setting up the rotation, please make it clear to us if this will be an audition rotation or regular elective rotation.
Attendance Policy:
Students are expected to adhere to their college's rotation attendance policy. Reasonable time off requests for interviews and travel time will be accommodated.
Schedule:
Monday: 7:15-8:00 AM lecture. 12:00-1:00 PM lecture.
Tuesday: 7:15-8:00 AM physics. 12:00-1:00 PM lecture.
Wednesday: 7:15-8:00 AM lecture. 12:00-1:00 PM OSUMC Grand Rounds.
Thursday: 7:15-8:00 AM physics. 12:00-1:00 PM lecture.
Friday: 7:00 AM Book Club. 12:00-1:00 PM CTCA Tumor Board.
*Monthly journal club will be held at one regularly scheduled AM or noon didactic time.
Rotation Requirements:
Students are required to complete ALL modules and lectures from the provided link. It is required that you submit a completed quiz answering the unknown cases from the bottom of the provided link (multiple choice quizzes AND packet 2).

Auditioning students for OSUMC's radiology residency program:
A short (10 minutes or less) end of rotation presentation is required for students who are interested in radiology.
Didactics:
In addition to the required self-directed learning, students are expected to complete the book club readings and participate in our weekly didactic session.
Evaluation policy:
Will be completed at the conclusion of your rotation per your school's requirements.
